A Sweet Treat : Where it all started

A Sweet treat came from very humble beginnings and the hobby isn’t even a year old. It began when I was asked to ice a last minute cake for my best friend’s little sister’s birthday. She, at the time, was turning 18 and was having a beautiful Rapunzel themed birthday and she wanted a two-layered cake. However, no one was selling any type of Rapunzel cakes or decorations and she needed it in two days. I accepted the offer; I am a crafty lady. With my lack of experience in cake decoration and two semesters of pastry class, I thought that I was basically an expert. And with that thought, I was quickly humbled. With trials and lots of errors, I did eventually deliver this cake and it wasn’t too shabby.
